As was my utter conviction that Leicester were a long ball, punting it over the top, ale house team that would fold and never win the league..

So up until very recently, my missus didn’t know what the word nonce meant.
She thought it was a ‘friendly term’ for calling someone an idiot/divvy and was mortified when I told her what it meant.

So for years she’s been going round using the term without giving it a second thought.

E.g: Susanne turns up to work an hour late “sorry I’m late guys, I forgot to set my alarm last night”

My missus: “Oh sue.... You’re such a nonce!”
