I notice you didnt mention St Domingo's tho, horrible little glory hunting WHOPPA.

Was all down hill when the owner changed the name to everton, like.

Ruining the tradition and history of that great club, etc, etc.

Almost as bad as when, a few years later, he gave up on the traditional black and scarlet home shirts and forced the team into some weird blue colour.

Hull City's proposed name change to Hull Tigers has been rejected by the Football Association Council.

The Council's decision - carried by a 63.5% vote of its members - followed the recommendation of the governing body's membership committee.

Fans' group City Till We Die said they were "delighted" with the decision.

Owner Assem Allam, who took charge of the club in in December 2010, has threatened to sell if he is not allowed to change the 110-year-old name.

On Monday, City season card holders had narrowly voted in favour the plan.
