UK accents are fascinating, so many of them in such a small country. Came across this bit of fun:

What accent you got? I guess we're 50% scouse and 50% everything else on here. Mine's all over the shop: hybrid of German, Hullian & London tho' I've been told Hullian is the most dominant.

I always describe my accent as Northern Middle Class. I say class and glass not clarse and glarse but I don't have a discernible accent.

This explains so much...

The problem with been from Widnes and our accent, whenever go abroad, people assume I’m from Liverpool. Worked in Liverpool years back and couple of scousers thought was from Manchester. Worked in Manchester after completing job in Liverpool few weeks later and was getting called every scouse name under the sun. Suppose you can’t win when your from a wool town.

Inappropriate Language
Despite living on the South Coast for 25 years, still strong scouse which gets stronger after attending a match.

haha...my hullian comes out during our games...[Poor language removed] [Poor language removed] off you [Poor language removed] [Poor language removed] for [Poor language removed]'s sake !!

I put manc but I've now lived down south for too many years, so unless I watch Corrie (which I don't anymore) or hear the accent, in which case it comes back thick.

Probably have a bit of west country now too, from having heard it for so long. Love a good accent though, and sometimes catch myself subconsciously mimicking one - ie I'll have a Welsh accent if I'm talking to a Welsh. Can be embarrassing as it sounds like I'm taking the mick.
