Just want to say congratulations to the Republic of Ireland u-19 team who have reached the semi finals in romania. They play spain on friday at 6.45 in the semi, best of luck boys. They finished 2nd in the group behind the czech,s. They beat greece, lost to the czech,s and drew with hosts romania to get through the group. Spain and serbia got through the other group.

Got beat 5-0

by a very good spain team tonight. Just got thaught a lesson by the next bunch of quality kids off the spanish production line.

Proud of them anyway, the highlight of their run to the semi,s was knocking italy out 3-0 in the last group stage. Hopefully 2 or 3 will progress to the senior team in years to come.

Yep, thats about the size of it.

Senior euro championships.
Senior world cup.
U-21 euro championships.
U-19 euro championships(on monday evening when they brush aside the czechs)

Its scary really. Their captain today was only 17 but has just moved to getafe from madrid for 3m with madrid having a buy back clause. He was very similar to fabregas in his style.
