So it probs won't happen if the past is anything to go by

Part of me would actually like the centenary World Cup to be held in Uruguay, but there's no way that country has the infrastructure for a 48 team World Cup. They struggled with just 13 in the first one as the stadium wasn't even built in time for the opening ceremony lol

Long overdue for the home of the sport. The infrastructure is already in place so the UK could host a World Cup next year no problem.

China will be the big challenger that year so it looks like a straight fight between brown envelopes and history.

US, Canada and Mexico looks nailed on for the one before that. Australia I can see hosting one in the 2030s.
