This had me in stitches last night. I didn't realise it had lyrics. Looks like it's been written by a 3 year old.

Is there a specific reason why Man City fans booed the CL 'anthem'? Are they not happy with UEFA for a specific reason or have they just realised they're a bureaucratic bunch of wet farts?
Another reason not given elsewhere in the thread for City fans dislike of UEFA goes back to a Champions League game against Porto, I think. After the match both teams were fined for separate offences. City for coming out a minute or so late for the second half (potentially upsetting the tv companies) and Porto for racial abuse of black City players. City got a bigger fine, which showed exactly where UEFA's priorities were.

Ooh, that makes me mildy annoyed on behalf of the author.

I had to search this to believe it.

Manchester City were left fuming yesterday when UEFA fined them £24,740 for returning to the field less than a minute late - a fine which is 50 per cent greater than the one issued to Porto over the racial abuse of Mario Balotelli.

City were fined 30,000 euros for taking to the field "up to 60 seconds" later than they had been due following half-time in the March 8 match at the Jose Alvalade stadium, which Sporting won 1-0.

That followed a fine of 20,000 euros issued to Porto after their fans subjected Balotelli to prolonged racist abuse in the previous round of the Europa League. A Porto season-ticket holder who contacted the Daily Telegraph said it was the worst racist abuse he had ever heard in the country.

City, who have three days to appeal are dumb-founded UEFA appear to consider that a lesser offence than their late return to the field.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was sanctioned £37,000 and given a three-match touchline ban after confronting a referee in the wake of his club’s Champions League tie with AC Milan. City cannot appeal against the fine.

Mental.

It does show how completely out of whack football's morals and priorities are compared with general society. The higher up you go the more self-serving and money-obsessed the whole thing is.

I think they are placing the fine on them as they are scruffy no mark tramps who like the Clampits struck lucky.
The anthem is just a excuse
