54,000 people live there.

Blimey.

I had always believed Greenland was a frozen, uninhabited wasteland.

I knew it belonged to Denmark, though.

I have learned a lot about that country through watching Borgen ;)
Birgitte Nyborg visits Greenland in one of the first few episodes, surely you must have known it was inhabited?

Anyway, Greenland compete in the FIFI Wild Cup with other states not recognized by FIFA, such as Zanzibar, Northern Cyprus etc.

Indeed.

My memory letting me down again :(

Very interesting decision by UEFA (like one they made abot Gibraltar). It caused great disrupt in Serbia (I am born in Serbia, currently living in BIH). It seems that UEFA statues weren't respected and probably it is true (Gibraltar also isn't sovereign state by they accepted association that represents that teritorry). I think that will only bring unrest in football world (no matter how mush they try to show it as some beautiful organisation). Even the worst case is Palestina.

Personally, i am for allowing that anyone who wants their independent association can got it, no matter where that teritorry lies (even if it is divided between sovereign states, which is of course legally dubious, but hey, that's just a game, give people what they want).

Good one for Groucho's Fact Hunt thread.

The trip to Kosovo for that Europa league tie could be interesting, some could come back minus a few organs no doubt after a visit towhat you thought was a Brass gaff.

No problem with more countries being involved but I'm sure the likes of Kosovo and countries like Gibraltar and Scotland would benefit from playing a qualifying group before getting in with the big teams.
