Player Valuation: £70m
About time. Not sure if it will have much effect though. High earners always seem to find a way to work around such things...

Perhaps it could stop agents taking players to the richest clubs as they currently expect a big pay day?

Uefa is considering imposing a cap on agents' fees following scrutiny of payments made to players' representatives.

It was found Premier League clubs paid £220m in agents' fees during the 2016-17 season - an increase of 38%.

Alexis Sanchez's agent, Fernando Felicevich, received a reported £15m in the Chile international's recent transfer to Manchester United.

Uefa will consider a cap in a bid to "introduce more transparency".

Last summer, Jorge Mendes - Cristiano Ronaldo's agent - took a £7m cut of the transfer fee Manchester City paid for goalkeeper Ederson.

Mino Raiola was reported to have received £23m from Paul Pogba's move from Juventus to Manchester United in 2016 while Kia Joorabchian is rumoured to have received a substantial amount after brokering Philippe Coutinho's recent move to Barcelona from Liverpool.

Uefa confirmed in a statement its Professional Football Strategy Group, which consists of key stakeholders in European football, had endorsed a strategy to "shape policy change... by potentially adding a cap on fees, introducing more transparency/accountability, and appropriate sanctions in case of infringement of the rules".

It's getting ridiculous really and to be honest I just cannot imagine ever being happy about someone pocketing millions off ringing people on my behalf if I was a footballer! Suppose they're used to someone wiping their rear from an early age though.

I noticed they are considering changing the Financial Fair Play as well to limit what clubs can spend. In a bid to counteract Man City and PSGesque spending.

There is always a way around things though, especially for the rich.

The big clubs will always find a way around agents fees and FFP
There’s too much money at stake and all it takes is one or two unscrupulous clubs to lead the race to the bottom
Take the Neymar transfer.
From what I’ve heard it went like this.
PSG met his buyout clause and presented the cheque to the Spanish FA
The Spainish FA refused the cheque as they believed it broke FFP rules.
The Quatari government presents the cheque to the Spainish FA and tell them Neymar will work for them as an ambassador for their upcoming World Cup.
Neymar signs for Quatari government and “is told” one of his duties is to play for PSG to keep his profile high
These lads hire more expensive better qualified and shadier lawyers than FIFA
The Saul Goodmans of the fottballing world if you want
