Its not about being arrogant per say you all have to have a bit of belief in yourself but its the extent of Ronaldos arrogance that makes him dislikeable, he comes across as incredibly insecure and is on a constant crucade to prove how great he is. I cannot possibly see how you can prefer Ronaldo to Messi, regardless of talent Messi is humble, hard working and does what is best for his team. I watched the second half in the pub and i observed many people looking intently at the screen biting their fingernails with a sense of a dread, i was in the same situation as well hoping that Atletico can hang on, and then Ramos scored the same people erupted in a mighty cheer and i was baffled? You want Real Madrid to win? perhaps the most despicable team in world football out side of Liverpool, the most expensive squad ever assembled? the team that gets privileges from the spanish government while the rest league is just told to rot? The team that uses its privileges to bully other teams into selling their best players and ruining them consistently for years on end? against their long suffering rivals who would of overcome all odds and been the top of europes elite for a great moment in their history? is this what society has become? I might need to go back and watch the Rocky Movies again because i don't remember myself rooting for Apollo. Do we now celebrate the bullies and the arrogant over the fairytale? Are we now so dictated by materialism that we want european domination but snides like Ronaldo and Real madrid? Just another step in the decline of football culture

Dayum Baby! maybe the wrong choice of words, i think maybe he play style has been misinterpreted then. I see youngsters all trying to be Ronaldo but in the case of hes so great because he knows it they dont concentrate on his work ethic.

One of the reasons is pretty much impossible to retain the trophy, or even win in a few times in a short period of time is because of the fact that 2, 3 and in some cases, 4th placed teams are allowed in. i can say with great confidence that real will at least be close. they're always one of the favourites, if they get a great striker like aguero then they're almost unstoppable next season.
