Top of the league and every time I watch them it's pretty straight forward for them.
If Koeman isn't going to play them then why not send some out on loan and get them proper experience? Get a club and give them 2/3 of our players (a bit like Chelsea and Vitesse)

U23 league is a joke. Attendances are poor. These kids needs to play real games against real men, men that NEED to win in order to put food on the table for family members.

They need to hear the abuse and get used to it, it will only make them mature much quicker. We can see how they react to certain situations. Imagine going to Elland road, the den, Hillsborough, Bramall Lane infront of thousands. It's much better than playing for an U23 team at Southport against another U23 team.

Do you think they should go out and get proper experience or are you lot happy with them playing in the U23 league?

Depends on how old they are and where they are in their development

If they're ready/close to ready for first team football and there's no sniff of any at Everton for a while due to squad congestion, then yeah, send them out on loan for a bit (Kenny strikes me as someone who fits this description)

If they're ready/close to ready for first team football and we're thin on the ground in their position, then no, keep them around the first team set up and start getting them some minutes off the bench (Davies and Holgate strike me as lads who fit this description)

If they're not in your plans and you don't think they'll ever progress, then yeah, loan them to a team to see if that team likes them and is prepared to take them off our hands when the loan ends (McAlney strikes me as someone who fits this description)

The most important thing is, if a player is loaned and does well, give them a chance once they come back

For too long now, players have had good loan spells only to come back and be stuck right back in the Under 23's

The whole point of a loan is for a player to get minutes and prove they can cut it at senior level. If they do well whilst loaned, they should then be given a chance once they're back. Shane Duffy springs to mind here, as he was a stand out for Yeovil during his loan in 13/14 but was never given a chance when he got back and eventually had to move to Blackburn just to get minutes. Now he's at Brighton and is doing his bit on their promotion challenge. Because he didn't do step overs and tekkers he was banished, despite proving his worth in a very competitive environment

I'm fine with loans, but we need to start rewarding good loan spells in a more efficient and fairer way than we currently do

I guess a loan to the right team is the best to keep them playing a higher level of competitive football and it also worms out who isnt going to cut it, i.e. Connor Mclaney, Junior, Luke Garbutt. They all got found out and eventually just phazed out by the club

Love the melodrama, do you write Victorian novels in your spare time? I can just hear those guys at Leeds leaving home on Saturday " Don't worry missus, if we win today at Elland road it won't be gruel for the bairns , I'll be able to pop by Lidls and put some real food on the table, and that there young loanee from Everton playing against me ain't gonna stop me feeding my family. That'll learn him"

RE the food on table shout, that was for league two teams etc...

How old are you? You seriously need to act your age.
Either come back with a normal response or just stfu.

It didnt do Coleman any harm, but its not just a case of packing a suitcase and a packed lunch,it has to be benefical to all parties
