I have an u10's football team based in Bootle called 'Northern City JFC', we play in the Scotland Road League (Everton Sports Park) on a Saturday morning and the Walton & Kirkdale League (Long Lane, Walton) on a Sunday morning.

At the moment, I'm looking to add a few more players to my squad, as we go from playing 7-a-side football to 9-a-side football pretty soon. The team trains each Wednesday and we're looking for players who can play on either a Saturday, a Sunday or even both days - in any preferred position.

If you'd like further information; feel free to message me on here, email coachmarkjohnson@gmail.com or to contact me anytime on 07780478250.

We've got a really good group of kids and if your child comes to a training session, it wouldn't be as a trial this is because ability isn't that important, I'd just be looking at how your son/daughter integrates with the rest of the team.

Thanks for reading this,

Mark ;)

Wish you all the best mate, my lad plays in an U9's and there's all kinds of tapping up going on at the mo as a result of them gaining an extra two players next season !

Ps what's the standard like ?

The only reason I ask is that one of the teams that play in the same league have asked my lad to play for them next season - M.H.S ?

I've heard that the pitches are shocking

To be fair the standard is excellent but like with most leagues there is a mixed bag of teams. The pitches were awful but they've been moved to a different venue just off Stanley Road - they seem quite good but we'd only used them for the first time last weekend.

By the way, MHS are a brilliant team too - I'm sure your lad would do fantastically well with them but if the deal falls through then give me a call mate haha

pitches are decent down there, mixed bag of teams, the good ones tend to be very good, bit of a thing in the older age groups that needs sorting as they are mixed with to big a span some are two years older.
my lad played for them when the won the Liverpool inter lg trophy only time the scotty road team won it.
Walton and kirkdale pitches are ok till winter then you will be getting loads of sleeps in

Haha had to laugh there mate, the Walton & Kirkdale League has been shocking over December and January but to be fair the pitches aren't owned by the league...
