Taking any notice of those type of programmes is a waste of time, used to turn people against the less well off andJust been watching this programme on Channel 4 and slightly confused. Do people get more money if they have loads of kids and have no interest in ever working as opposed to say a single person who currently is out of work but wants to work?

True. I'm not targeting the less well off lad. I'm simply interested as a comparison to the Irish system. For instance what does a single person get on the dole in the U.K.? In Ireland its 188euro which is about 137. 69 pounds
Can I still hate both?Taking any notice of those type of programmes is a waste of time, used to turn people against the less well off and

if you are genuinely interested why dont you do some proper research and have a look at say the DWP's website? or you could just get outraged without knowing anything...
That "even lower class" you talk about is a manifestation of government policies going back decades, not the fault of TV producers mate. Those shows are designed to demonise an element of the working class and turn the workers, lower middle class against them. Utter horrors who make them ! They started by destroying the pubs and working men's clubs, the very fabric of our class. Now its easy to divide us and lay blame by inventing an even lower class for us all to hate and despise with these shows. Sad Days.
You summed it up perfectly. You'll probably get accused of being a Tory snob by some middle class socialist though. That "even lower class" you talk about is a manifestation of government policies going back decades, not the fault of TV producers mate.
The main mistake in my eyes was when they decided a woman who has a child is automatically entitled to a house, a lot of young woman saw breeding as a career choice, thus breeding in lots of cases, children with no aspirations other than to sponge off the state.

Politics doesn't 'turn me on' mate, I'm of the mindset that for every MP that really wants to make a difference there are 20 who are out solely to line their own pockets. You summed it up perfectly. You'll probably get accused of being a Tory snob by some middle class socialist though.
Very much the same as myself, not right or left. I find tribalism and following stereotypes is ruining politics. There's no left or right only good or bad ideas.Politics doesn't 'turn me on' mate, I'm of the mindset that for every MP that really wants to make a difference there are 20 who are out solely to line their own pockets.
But if pushed I'd say I lean to the left as it goes.
