2025/26 Tyler Dibling

I'd love to see him making a 10- 15 minute appearance every week and be told to just do his thing and not worry about anything as he'll get a chance the week after.

Unfortunately it being the PL and the small margins in taking anywhere between 0 to 3 points I can understand why he isn't by Moyes. But I do think he just needs to play and feel like he has nothing to lose in trying to play like he did at Southampton - that's something Moyes needs to sort out. I suppose that's why Moyes is on big money and I am at work on Christmas Eve checking to see if this week's money is in the bank (It is - Merry Christmas everybody!).

Totally. We are one or two seasons away from punting £30odd million on a player that doesn’t improve our starting lineup RIGHT NOW. If they brought him in with any doubts at all that would be ahead of McNeil then it’s a bizarre decision.

But people in football generally have fawned over him for a few years. He only has a couple of hundred minutes less than Alcaraz in PL games, yet he still has the “not ready” free pass!! If he genuinely has this latent talent everyone claims he has, then someone needs to work out how to make him respond, or he himself needs to grow up. A decent and perfectly admirable career making mazy runs in the Championship awaits if he doesn’t.
He's a young man, so plenty of scope to mature and grow up, but he's no longer a child. The homesick stuff at Chelsea and the very slow start here don't augur well. Top level sport is not for all - even the supremely talented. The mentality needs to come with the talent. Has this lad got it? Jury's out. He's paid enough to endure being in the goldfish bowl and expectations that come with his transfer fee. It may be that the lad needs time to grow up. Didn't we all. I certainly won't judge him for that. The sport will, though. He needs to get on the speeding train while he still can.

Was a 10 through the youth ranks and Russell Martin used him as a RW so he'd have more space - being a young player.

My thinking was that this and next season he was going to play RW and then move to 10.

We do need a 10 so would make sense.
At this stage he'd get ruined by CMs and CB. He's not strong enough on the ground, more a tip toer.
Ndaiye, on the other hand, would do the ruining at 10..

He's surprisingly strong on the ball if you look at his Southampton highlights, and probably did his best work through the middle of the pitch.
There is certain type of defending going on in those highlights. Some of the poor defending is down to his movt.
He can do the dance and tip toe better than most but can he play with a lower centre of gravity for different type of defending.
DCL has/d a similar problem. Dibling's a much better footballer though, imo.
At the moment though much of the strength is overrun or overplayed.
Needs to be wiser to plays, it'll come.

What's inside the ropes for him now requires both the short and strong bow.

Merry Xmas Blues
Stay safe and 🍻

That’s a good run of fixtures to give him and get an idea of where he is at ..

Watch him light them up and then get instantly dropped when illy is back

….i’d settle for that. Ndiaye is probably our most effective footballer, he has to play but it would be good if Dibling establishes himself as back-up.
