I applaud this decision. Excellent defender who needs to be given time to see how he comes back from that bad injury last year.

.....I'm not sure he is an excellent defender, Fred but I'm ok with the decision. He's a Rolls Royce of an athlete but not the most talented footballer. I think he's got all the physical attributes to allow him time to learn his trade alongside professionals who really are proper defenders.

I agree to a degree mate. That's why I stipulated defender, not footballer. It's the footballing side that may prevent him making it with us. I don't think he'll develop as a full back for that reason. He hasn't really been given an opportunity at centre back so the jury's still out. I do think that his defensive attributes are stand out though.

That's a win-win for Tyias, new contract and a move out to get more playing time .
Realistically , either him or Matthew Pennington had to go out on loan , and one had to stay as potential 1st team cover. Looks like Pennington is in the pole position, but who knows, if all he gets is starts at U23s he may have wished for a loan.

Dear Tyias,

Please enter Aido´s smart phone and remove Goodison Park and Finch Farm from saved settings in both google maps and Waze.

Thanks mate,

Argietoffee.

PS - Well done on the new contract. Hope you pull the trees up by the roots.

Some of these cup results this last week just highlight the differences between players who are trotting around in non competitive u23's football and those that are playing week in week out in cut and thrust winner takes all football. You've gotta play competitively regularly to learn, get that edge and figure out exactly what needs to be done to win a game of football, hopefully he will get some first team playing time and they will allow him to learn and extend his experience. Technique and ability means sod all if you haven't got the mentality to step up.

So go on kid make the most of it show them and us what you can do, you've been through a decent academy and had a good football upbringing.
