One DM.. that's all I can offer as advice.

We don't need a Keeper, 4 defenders and 2 Defensive Mids not doing anything, we can get away with 7 defensive sleep walkers not picking anyone up.

Oh and if we have 6 defenders back and there is one guy on the ball and only one option for him to pass to... one of our players should at least consider stopping that pass from happening or making the receiving player...
Just once for giggles maybe?

Consequently this leaves room for a second striker.

I don't actually mate, Rom is well capable of playing up top by himself. You would get absolutley destroyred going 4-4-2 these days. It just couldn't cope with a 4-2-3-1 or a variation, either the midfield or defence would be flooded Prob both.

Personally I think he's ramped up his philosphey this year and decided to develop certain players into the system, we look a team who've got a bad culture shock - which is exactly what I think has gone on behind the scenes.

It depends who you play with a 4-2-3-1. If it's Naismith it might as well be called 4-4-2.

4-4-2 is fine if you're at home and the team you're playing against isn't very good. Sherwood did well with it last season.

What it would mean is dropping Barkley into CM which frankly looked like our best formation all year against QPR but again QPR.
