Two more servicemen murdered by the Fghan National Police, the people they are trying to help, including one from the RAF.

It doesn't matter whether we stay another 6 months or ten years. As soon as all ISAF troops are withdrawn, corruption and old ties will tear apart any army or national police force and the country will revert to a lawless collection of tribes and warlords.

You cannot change thousands of years of a county's mentality by building a few roads and schools. Old habits die hard.

Its things like this which makes me wish we'd stop trying to police the world. These ****ed up countries don't deserve the lives of our service men and women. But I agree, we have to see it through to the end now otherwise it would have all been for nothing. RIP

Good luck bud. Is it a good thing or bad thing your going back? I'd imagine its a bit of both but I dunno. My mate went out there and he was excited on one hand but pretty pissed on the other.

I can;t wait to be honest. I came back in 2007 and from late 2008 I've been involved in this job out here so I've been out of the normal loop and need to get back in the saddle.
