today sees the first episode of the final series of ''the shield''.

for those of you that are fans you wont need reminding.

for those of you that have missed it, its the greatest series since the sopranos.

and when i use the 'sopranos' as a comparison i really mean that something has some quality.

best corrupt cop drama i ever saw, and humourous (sp) to boot.

I've never actually watched 'The Shield', but if it's as good as 'The Sopranos', then I'm going to start watching it immediately...

That and 'The West Wing' are my two favourite shows of all time.

I joined love film earlier this year, its excellent. So far ive watched all the sopranos and loved them, about 5 series of 24, a couple of prison break and tons of films. We're ploughing our way through "our friends in the north" at the mo. Ive just added this shield series to my list. Ive never heard of it but looking at the ratings from other users its blitzes anything else.
Ive also added a series called "the wire" and one called "las vegas".Ive never heard of them either, has anyone seen them?

bitter sweet watching, fantastic its back, shame its the last series.
