Live in Bay of Plenty, felt the first quake at 0230am in the morning, bed shaking and a few things falling off shelfs etc. Work right on the coast and two further quakes hit and we were told to evacuate by 11am. Thankfully all precautionary and the Tsunami warning for our area was downgraded at 3pm.

Not long after the boxing day Tsunami there was an alert and people went Down to the Torbay shore to see an actual tsunami, like it was the QE II sailing past or something
