Trying to sleep

two words: Cortisol and Melatonin. Sort those two out and you'll nod off like a baby

Few quick questions, do you feel tired in the day? If so, around what time?
Is your bedroom dark or is there a street light outside or some form of light creeping into your bedroom?
Are you a big coffee/ tea drinker? And what time do you stop taking caffeine before you hit the snooze button. I won't ask about any other drugs, that's just plaid dumb if you take those and then wonder why you're struggling with sleep, that goes for blow too
Do you smoke?


7am really isn't an early time to be getting up in the mornings.

Changing a few things around in your diet/ lifestyle, manipulating your cortisol levels, and taking some melatonin should blissfully send you off to sleep quite easily. If you sort the mechanisms out that cause sleep problems, it's not rocket science to be able to fall off to sleep fairly quickly.

Exercise does help, unless you do it before bedtime. If you can do it first thing in the morning, or during the day, it will help considerably. If you're sedentary in your job, that can cause problems with sleeping patterns, we were designed to move in the day and be still in the night. Exercise also helps to regulate cortisol.

Looks good but my mum doesn't take kindly to any forms of enhanced sleeping medication, except these all-natural herbal things which look and smell like horse manure in the form of an ellipsoid (3D oval).
