Travel from Goodison

Hi All!

I'm just about to book tickets for Southampton but got a slight issue.

Supposed to be in Manchester (near Etiad Stadium) 2 hours after the Everton match against Southampton.

I've got a car - but I know traffic from Goodison is always pretty bad.

Do you think it's possible to get there by 7:30 or am I pushing it?

(I'm from Barnsley, so not really familiar with how bad traffic is between Liverpool and Manchester)

You won’t get there any quicker if you’re pushing it.... stick to driving it

I think that is reasonable - park somewhere off the East Lancs Rd [you can actually park on it if you can find a space], brisk walk out of the ground after we put the Saints to the sword, do one down the East Lancs to M57 / M62 / M602 then across the Mancunian way to where you are going. It will be congested on the East Lancs at first but the MW system is usually fine that side.
