And before anybody says it's rubbish, how much "rubbish" have we not seen on THIS forum about nailed on transfers...

Debt for equity deal, rumour from accountancy firm insider, claims to have seen doc's refering to due diligence. So don't know facts directly, just hope it's true, but credible, bill would still have his train set. It's an indivdual, not a group, or so i'm told.

Everton scouts seen watching Beram Kayal and Gary Hooper, aparently very interested in a double swoop. Not 100% sure if it's true, also heard that surprise surprise Spurs are interested too.

the "take over " is in fact a debt for equity deal. will leave bk in place, but less control. not great but will put us in a better place with more room to move in the market. ps new invester will have first option, at fixed price for full control.

wheresthetransfermoneybill i hope you have a thick skin and can take some stick cause the last person who came on here stating this got shot down big time. Not saying your lying mate however i have my popcorn at the ready

Honestly Mzone16, I have no idea...I am just posting what I have been reading on other sites; Im at the stage where I am becoming a little desperate for good news, as I just cannot believe that we have not spent any money, not even on a loan signing or a free, with no communication from anybody at Everton; surely something must be happening behind the scenes to vindicate no spend, never mind a net spend...

Keverton, I am on probation at GOT, and as I have said, this was just something I picked up off the internet from scouring around looking for something positive, no matter how small. As for the thick skin, I'm rotund, if that helps...

From Wikipedia...

Debt-for-equity swapIn a debt-for-equity swap, a company's creditors generally agree to cancel some or all of the debt in exchange for equity in the company.

Debt for equity deals often occur when large companies run into serious financial trouble, and often result in these companies being taken over by their principal creditors. This is because both the debt and the remaining assets in these companies are so large that there is no advantage for the creditors to drive the company into bankruptcy. Instead the creditors prefer to take control of the business as a going concern. As a consequence, the original shareholders' stake in the company is generally significantly diluted in these deals and may be entirely eliminated.

RFUS, I'm not saying this is not BS, just posting what I found on the net...

I know mate. This is the problem though, every single person who spreads the BS says "it might be BS but I'm just passing it on".

If you think you might have herpes do you stick your wang in someone's mouth? Do you!? FFS.

any potential deal would be covered by a 'quiet period' for the potential acquired company - we have certainly seen that this summer. :-)
