Hi fellow blues.

As the window shuts we now have time to reconcile how we contributed to the forum in a beautiful summer, and how accurate or misplaced our posts and behaviour were. I’m sure there’s humble learning curves for everyone.

It was a major summer rebuild for Moyes and Everton considering how many players were out of contract. Everton retained Gueye and Keane, and secured Branthwaite on a new contract. Everton then brought in the below at a cost of circa £150m.

The Transfer Thread can be used as a live document for poster appraisal. Please present posts that you think offer room for reflection, change and growth. It is good to know who’s opinion is steady and likely to be accurate in the near future on here.

I thought it was great, it’s a shame the club’s transfer committee didn’t look at it, though. Was loads of suggestions in there that we might need a RB, which the club missed.

As annoying as repetitive negative posts are I have to say this summer by far the most annoying have been the 3 or 4 posters who insisted on jumping on every bit of criticism they could find, often in a very condescending and dismissive manner. As if uber positivity is the default Everton setting and we haven't been dogdirt for years.

I've found them as teeth gratingly irritating as Keiran and ForeverBuddha46 and dare I say it Holliday

(No I won't name names, but two appear to be from Trumplandia)

Big Oil and Zatman are so obvious you do not need to name them.

Who are the other two?

I cannot appraise a thread I absolutely dare not dip into for the sake of my sanity. It is fueled by 99% click bait from lazy, out of touch journalists with columns to fill for demanding editors who have billionaire owners and shareholders to satisfy. The information filters to a den of sex deprived virgins salivating at every fantasy presented to them. They then argue with one another about something that will never happen.

I wait for a "ffs his own thread" and rumour banner before I invest a click ... and then only to find out who on earth the player might be. Then I read a bit when its "confirmed signing." I don't worry about things until they're fact.

No Chico, no! I will not appraise the transfer thread virgins! No! Nooooooooo!
