Heard this in the last few days. I would personally have him at the right price, i think we want to pay 5 mill. He hasn't had much game time this season but i think he's a good player as he has showed in previous seasons. Thoughts?
 

Up until this season I would have bitten your hand off. However, he's barely played this season and he's been completely left out at times, and for a reason. Maybe he's a bit of a bulb?
 

I think he is a good finisher, but he does'nt move about very much, just sort of goal hangs and then bangs it in. Which is no bad thing, but it does mean you need a team around him who will do all the "heavy lifting" (running about, winning the ball and passing).
It worked for him up at Sunderland and before Lambert came in at Villa. I suppose this one depends on who the next manager is...
 
Can't see this one happening, plus he's causing all sort of problems at Villa I hear so its a no from me
 

Agreed. He's past it by most accounts and looks like a Jelavic that can still slot, but can't work.
Then again, maybe that workrate is what makes Jela not slot so well.

I'm guessing wages is what's making his life troublesome though. He was signed for £26 million, lads. That's a ridiculous sum.
And now he's in a squad where the captain is a 12 year old villa trainee, my guess is he earns enough to cover at least half a Villa starting XI.
And that's prolly not something we can cover.
