a creative force is necessary whether its an attacking mid, deep lying playmaker, or straight number 10 it's vital

Box-to-box midfielder who can offer more than Barry and McCarthy does forward. Still believe McC will be effective in some games, but his development has stagnated.

Really difficult one this GOT! I voted upfront but only because we desperately need a good CF who can push Rom as he can't be bothered a lot of the time.
A priority for me also is a playmaking midfielder a la Mata, who we can build a team around as I don't believe Ross will ever be capable of doing that job (heresy?).
Then a good central defender (or maybe two depending on the JS situation). Williams would be a brilliant short term solution but we also need a very good younger player to come through, hopefully Holgate and Galloway can be those players.
Not too stressed about the keepers TBH as I think both Robles and Stekelenberg can do an adequate job, of course if a really outstanding keeper became available would be foolish not to attempt to sign him.
Just as an aside, it would be nice to have just a little info now and again from the club as to how things are progressing generally, instead of the deathly silence we get now. COYB!!

Keeper definitely - although Stek has looked good in pre-season we need a top class keeper. If you look at the points we threw away through poor defence and poor keeping last year I imagine we would have been at least 10 points better off. A great keeper will also improve the cb and fb in front of them as they will have the confidence that he will come and claim everything. Even through all the dross of last season we still scored goals and created chances and now we have a manager who will play longer and have less emphasis on keeping the ball and more ethos in actually attacking I think that we will create more chances even with the players we already have.

Keeper: 1st choice keeper absent
Defender: Just got a big hole to fill
Midfielder: Heavy lack of creativity
Forward: Wantaway striker is only choice

Tough choice isn't it
