Hi Lads,

I know some of you on here take a keen interes in the youngsters coming through the ranks at Everton but I just wondered if any of you had any knowledge of Tranmere's youth set up as I presume they play each other fairly regularly..... Reason I ask is my Localteam have just signed an ex Tranmere schoolboy who then went to Shrewsbury Town for a season before being released. Deion Evans the lads name is.. Thanks in advance if anybody has any info on him. I do realise it's a long shot.

He's the second or third lad we've had from Tranmere now.... one lad is local and walked out on Tranmere as he felt he was good enough for the first team at 18 years old.. fool... fantastic young player but awful attitude on the pitch. The other 2 have come after him but 1 has since gone to Bangor City. On a different note, I had the pleasure of watching Nathan Craig at our place last season ( could have been one before ) just after we released him... seemed a decent lad... think he's at Torquay or somewhere now.

Didn't Jose Baxter play on loan at Tranmere for a bit before we let him go?

he did Mikey, did very well by all accounts, was probably too good for the players around him to get the best out of him, Wallace was probably a better fit though, more of a leader, taking responsibilty for the ball all over the pitch, will make it to the championship at least, was very highly rated by the youth staff at everton, who always pushed him to moyes
 

I went to a few of the youth cup games with my mate who is in the first team, can't seem to remember that lad though. Will ask my mate about him when I next see him.
 
I know Max Power personally, they had a few good talents on the books while we were in school, he looks destined for the championship atm, which is awesome, but know virtually nothing of Deion unfortunately.

Ask Max about Jay Gibb........ they played together at youth Level. Max played at my teams home ground in a pre season friendly a couple of years back , he would have been in the under 18's then though.
