The British economy slumped badly twice under Thatcher and wasn't as strong as other European economies who took a less rabid turn toward the market.

Absolutely disgusting that. I'm far from a racist but I know for a fact that the other way round a group of white girls would be in jail for racially aggravated assault. That judge is an absolute bell end. 'They weren't used to drinking because of their culture' **** off!

Always said I'd never hit a girl under any circumstances as long as I wasn't getting seriously battered, but if I was her boyfriend I'd have kicked seven shades out of their faces.

Bellend quote from the judge though, I agree. I don't know anything about the case though, and I wouldn't trust the Daily Heil to give a proper report.

Does anyone else find the whole Emma West episode depressing on a number of levels? It's really shown the worst of people. A woman with obvious mental difficulties making some disgusting remarks, the likes of the EDL and BNP using her to further their vile cause, the fact she's had to be remanded in custody for her own safety because of the lynchmob mentality of people who to my mind are worse than her.

The whole thing's f***ing grim.

I was reading the paper the other day and there was a small piece in the middle about a young white lad getting stabbed by a group of blacks.

They said it wasn't racially motivated.

I'm sure if it would have been the other way round it would have been splashed all over the front page.

everybody is equal, then there should be the same media coverage who ever it is.

I know of an asian lad who racially abused a white lad at school few years ago, got in trouble for it like, but got like detention.
