Train advice for Saturday (and possible train tickets for sale)

Last time I went to Wembley (Eng v Ger women's) there was massive snaking queues to get back on the train. Tube might've been different, but I'd expect not. I'd allow a good 60-90 mins from final whistle to Euston, maybe even more.

Oh, a little tip here: 99% of folk will be taking a southbound train after the game. For the tube at least, consider taking a northbound train (which will have barely any queue) one stop, then double back on yourself at the next stop.

Ta mate.

So looking at the map. I'd go to "Wembley Park Station Underground" which takes me to Euston Square (Met Line), then make the 5 min walk to Euston Station... But if mad busy then go back one stop (Preston Road) to beat the ques?

And say the game finishes at 7.10pm (ish). Would you think the chances of making my 8.11pm train home are good if I stick to above script?

It'll be a real push to make that time. Does the train stop at Watford? Might be worth seeing if you can get an northbound mainline train there instead of heading into London.

Also, in spite of my advice, the BTP might just make everyone queue up to get into the station, regardless of which direction you're heading.

Nope, not scheduled for a Watford stop. In the good old days the London-Liverpool train would always stop at Wembley (and even Watford I think) on cup final day.

Cheers for advice anyway. Will just make a drunken judgement call at the time.

23 minutes from Wembley tube station to Euston once your on and it's moving. It's the queuing into the station that will stop you getting the train back

Looking that way mate. If we're getting tonked then will leave early.

And let's be realistic. Recent evidence suggests i'll be back in Euston before the final whistle.
