It's entirely down to the party if they really wanted him there for the vote and they'll likely not be throwing a three line whip around given the likelihood of a rebellion.

And if his constituents are disappointed then I'm glad - the utter tories.... @blueloon excepted....I hope
Haha, no worries on that mate. I’m not a native by the way, and the area overall has a sizeable English population who are partly to blame for the Tory vote , from two historical RAF bases, a load of Tory farmers , that’s Ross’s backround and I guess Tory fishermen. It has been solidly SNP for many years, but curiously our area was the closest Brexit vote in Scotland only just Remain 51/ 49ish , mainly fishing areas wanting out.
Interesting fact : in our area we have “quines” females and “ loons” , males usually young as in “ There’s Jock off to the fitba with his loon , wee Jock”. Hence blueloon :D
