I could sing his praises for hours, mate, so I'll spare you my fanboy rants.

Simply put, although he's one of the most famous people of the last 30 years, he was undervalued and underappreciated -- but mostly, underestimated.

Some of their later stuff, the demos and what not that never saw the offical light of day, are just fantastic. In fact my favourite Nirvana song was only released in 2002; posthumously; "You Know You're Right".

I saw them live once mate. He was off his head though, but still amazing.
