Neither wikipedia nor Espanyol's official site list a player called Torres. Do you mean Xavi Torres from Levante who we were linked with in january? He's a holding midfielder, apparently. Product of Barca's academy.

Edit: a little further digging reveals the lad listed as 'Javi Chica' on wiki/rcdespanyol.cat also goes by the name Javi Chica Torres. Also, this rumour was in the mirror the other day. Wouldn't mind getting in a new right back who can play a bit, even better if he can offer some experienced cover for our Leighton.

When Francisco Javier Chica Torres scores, we riot.

His wikipedia page says his main asset is his physical strength. FM has him as one of those two-and-a-half-stars 'decent signing for any premier league club' players. His stats on there suggest he's strong and quick with good stamina, and he's got 16 and 17 for teamwork and work rate respectively. Most welcome one of his preferred moves is 'Tries to play his way out of trouble.'

We've signed the Spanish Tony Hibbert haven't we.
