Allardyce Out
Alive or dead as it's a hypothetical. There are actually bands I prefer overall (albums etc.) than those on the list - such as RHCP/Green Day - but in terms of a live act, where showmanship and presence counts, mine would be:

QUEEN

Obvious reasons. Mercury was astonishing. Incredible songs.

DAVID BOWIE

So many amazing songs and by all accounts fantastic live. Life on Mars?, Space Oddity live would be tremendous.

PRINCE

If I could go back in time to one concert during my lifetime and be there live, it'd be the 2007 Superbowl Half Time show. The energy in that set was simply ridiculous. His cover of Best of You was uniquely brilliant; the consummate showman, ridiculously underrated.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN

Only started listening to Bruce recently and his back catalogue surprised me. Quality, depth and still sounds relevant - and apparently he's majestic live.

MICHAEL JACKSON

No explanation really necessary. Arguably the greatest all round performer ever.

The boss is boss live. The best I've seen.

Acts I've seen live
Boyzone
Westlife
Blue
Oasis
Bruce Springstein
Snow Patrol
High Flying Birds
Babyshambles
Stone Roses
The Doves
Robbie Williams

Mine would be actual gigs, if you see what I mean.

ACDC. Red Cow, London, circa 1974
Led Zep. Earls Court 1975
Bob Marley. London circa 1977
Billy Joel. Yankee Stadium
Nirvana. Cardiff on Nevermind tour.(Had tickets but he blew his head off the week before. pfft)

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN

I've seen him four times now, I'm a huge fan of his music and his personality as a star. A friendly, easy-going guy who knows where he came from and never lost himself in drugs or other distractions. Live, he is God. Not a god, but God. He's 64, played 3,5 hours straight, no break whatsoever and he ran around like crazy!!! He played songs he seldom plays instead of an easy greatest hits show like many other artists would do.

But my other four artists:

Foo Fighters
Missed their show at the Pinkpop festival two years ago due to illness but I saw the registration of it and it was epic.

Guns N' Roses (original setting)
The chainsaw voice of Axl, the brilliant guitarplay of Slash, what a combination that was! Been a fan for years when I was a teenager and that was after they broke up, so I never had the chance to see them perform live

Rolling Stones
They are the biggest band on earth, made rock music the way it is today and are the physical from of a generation that changed society completely.

Hall and Oates
Blue eyed soul, genious songwriters and live absolutely top of the bill.
