Hey everyone, nice to be here.
Basically I have a question- what is it like sitting in the top balcony?
I have sat in every other part of goodison, try to get to 3 games a season as don't live nearby. I want to sit in the middle of the top balcony, maybe at the front to avoid obstruction- how would that be?
I hear it is steep....

If anyone has photos that would be amazing (have used the "view from seat" on the website).

Thanks a lot

Its high, so that means im out.

I had tickets for the Tamworth game to sit there, but was ill so had to swerve it.

I recall we played Arse a few Years ago and I sat there, we scored 3 goals as well, so had to jump up, so very scared.

Top balcony is good because if you sit in TB2 or somewhere going towards the middle you get one of the best views for the game in Goodison.

The only negative I can bring up is the fact that it's only the ends towards Gwladys and Park End that join in with the songs. The majority of the Top Balcony is quiet.

if you want a great view then the top balcony is the place, but like jim says its a pipe and slippers neighbourhood compared to the lower gwladys st

I remember i went to a testimonial game years ago and sat in Top Balcony for the 1st time, and it felt that steep i had to walk backwards down the stairs holding the rail as i thought i was going to fall forward lol

Sat there for the Reading game last season,Dident like it one bit cos im scared of heights

I have a season ticket there, row D near the half way line and its the best view I've ever had.

I've sat in most areas at goodison, and had a season ticket in 3 other places too, but none have ever beaten the top balcony in terms of view.

Try and get a seat near the front though, the further back you go the worse it is IMO

And if you like atmosphere the top balcony doesn't really have one, but you can hear the gwladys and park end in full voice so its not all bad

I remember me & my mates sometimes used to leg it from the Street End up to the Top Balcony at 3/4 time back when we were pesky kids. I think the first time we did it was Spurs at home, the Monday (?) night at the end of the 87 season. We'd been presented with the league title at the Luton game in the Saturday, so we were all in carnival mood still.

Then we legged it up into the clouds, and I bricked it once we stepped out into the seats! We then took the brave pills and went and sat on the back row.

Heady days indeed.

(don't think I've been back up there since those days. Must have affected me)

Its a great spec but i'd hate to sit right down the front, terrifying! Main stands a good shout too.
