That 2nd Division team were good to watch and the 75/76, 76/77 even better. Great wingers.
It was good that, although a bit too OTT about Tommy Docherty. He was a decent manager and no more than that. All the talk about what he might have achieved at United if he hadn't been sacked is bollocks.

Yes it was a great game with a fantastic atmosphere under floodlights. They'd thrashed us 3-0 the week before as part of a good run of results as they tried to get out of the mire. Bingham recalled Big Joe to team up with the Latch - something I'd like to see more of. Lyons got the winner, hammering home like Dixie Dean after the ball pinballed around their penalty box.
