pretty stupid of the guy to walk out into the track though.....hard to tell if Stewart veered to the right to hit him...the car does veer to the right after the collision, but before hand I'm not sure...how much reaction time would Stewart have had?

I googled it. Pretty bad clip to be honest. Very close up footage. I'd advise not to watch it if easily upset..

Seems a bit dodgy that. Silly for the bloke to walk onto the track like that but everyone else seemed to go past without getting close.

What the hell are racing anyway? Seems like some weird go karting race.

Sprint cars, designed to only go sideways... You literally can't drive straight in them !

FYI: Tony Stewart is a multiple NASCAR champ and has won the Indy 500 etc, he's a superstar over in the US. He just does these short track sprint races on the side for fun.

Stewart and Ward got in an incident, caution was thrown and it under that caution where Stewart hit Ward. lots of accusations that Stewart purposely drilled the throttle when near him to try and scare him and misjudged it, potential manslaughter if that's the case.
