A good man.

"The former cabinet minister died on Friday morning at his home in west London surrounded by family members". A good way to go.

RIP.

So sad. A gentleman and scholar.

It's been a bad week for the Left...and the rest of the country for that matter.

No doubt the BBC and the rest of the media sewer rats will have been leaned on to describe this man as "controversial" by their puppet masters.

'Controversial' in Britain 2014 = anyone who doesn't kow-tow to the market and opposes economic thuggery.

Not been a good week for those of a leftish persuasion. Whilst, again, his views were often not to my taste, there was little doubt that he very much believed in what he was saying. It's sad that there aren't more conviction politicians like that around. The modern breed seem to flip flop around based on whatever will keep them in power. Integrity is a dying trait in Westminster you feel, and I got the impression that Tony Benn had it in spades.

An incredibly intelligent, articulate, passionate and selfless man. A man of principles and beliefs, but equally open to new ideas and discussion. They don't make 'em like that anymore.....R.I.P. Tony.

Probably the only politician who I actually REALLY listened to.

R.I.P. Tony.

A truly great man.
A true man of the people.

While no comment on the man himself it's quite ironic a dyed in the wool socialist should pass away in west london. The spiritual home of capitalism
