Bellew is currently rated a place higher (4th) than Cleverley (5th) in the boxrec ratings. He is fighting a fighter rated 20th whilst Cleverley is fighting a guy rated 42nd. Would love Cleverley to get himself a world title and then a re-match against Cleverley. I reckon Bellew could beat Cleverley next time round, he would fight with more confidence and probably use his brain a bit more.

You could argue he has to take these fights because he is a challenger at the moment, it just seems that Cleverley is happy to hold onto his title in nothing fights whereas Bellew is prepared to fight anyone.

Tony should beat the lad he is fighting next, the other lads record looks good but there are no real names on there.

Should put Tony further towards a world title, I think he is aiming for Chad Dawsons belt now because Warren won't give him the Cleverly rematch now he has moved to a different promotional company.

I think a re-match will happen somewhere down the line it's a good brit v brit clash that will sell tickets. Both are still young fighters building their reputation and record. There is a few good match ups in different weight classes at the minutes for the brits. I don't think we have seen the last of Groves v De Gale either, Price v Fury could be a decent fight and Hatton, Khan and Brook could be a little triangle if Hatton can come back strongly, I'd fancy kell Brook to do them both though as I can't see hatton being the fighter he was.

Dont think theres a cats chance in hell a rematch will happen anytime soon

It's not secret the respective promoters Warren and Hearn dont get on. In order for a rematch to happen Tony would either have to be mandetory or it would be a unification bout

Bought my tickets for this yesterday. Looking forward to it.

It seems that this is for the Silver belt that Kessler vacated and is one of two manadatory qualifiers for the WBC belt, so from that, I give it 8 months and Bellew will be fighting for world title, dependent on the results of course.

The best thing he ever did was get involved with Matchroom, theyre eating up all the best talent out the from the UK for me and they just need to get Pricey on board to get him a little more exposure. Hopefully then they can raise enough of a purse to lure in Fury, make it worth his while for getting beat up.

I hear that depending on the Prizefighter results, Rocky Fielding could get a chance on the early undercard at the Nottingham arena. This lad is a great fighter, grafter and deserves his chance.

Would be good to see a fight night in Liverpool, perhaps a full Echo arena, with a majorly Liverpool boxing bias. If Tom Stalker was to step in to the Pro rounds, it would be good to see, Jazza Jenkins v ?, Stalker v ?, Bellew v ? and Price v Fury on the same bill. I think it would pull in the crowds aswell, in fact, I know it would.

In my eyes it's already being set-up. Cleverly has shouted about taking Froch, Froch would murder him, but Hearn turned round and said, you couldn't beat Bellew now, why would you want Froch? It wasn't that long ago, but I really can see this being in the offing within 18 months.

Think Bellew will need to go and get his own world title belt before he gets back in with Cleverly. I'd love to see them at it again though, a genuine 50-50 fight that.

The good thing about Bellew is he'll fight anyone, anywhere. That will bring him opportunities now that he's fighting names like Miranda.

So you don't think the ker-ching of £'s rolling in from the public who want to see the fight happen will have any bearing on it whatsoever then?? It will happen somewhere down the line if fight fans want it enough. Boxing needs these fights to keep public interest.

come on tony bellow everton scouser

The problem with a re-match is that Warren now has his own channel 'boxnation' and Hearn is top dog with Sky in terms of promoters.

Personally I think it has been a mistake by Warren to go his own way with a subscription channel for his fighters. I am no way paying for Sky sports and another £10 a month to watch the occasional fight. He would have been better linking up with Primetime for PPV fights.

The Ricky Burns v Kevin Mitchell fight would have been a blinder and I reckon Burns is probably the best British World Champion right now, truly world class at his weight. Yet I did not get to watch the fight, wasn't even sure of the date and I wonder how many other boxing fans missed it because it was on 'boxnation'.

To fill big stadiums, boxers need to be in the public consciousness and 'boxnation' is a hindrance to them doing that. I would argue that Hennessy has a better plan by using terrestrial broadcasters for Tyson Fury. Fury is probably better known in the wider public than a two weight world champion like Burns.

I agree mate not watched one single fight on Boxnation its a rip off.

I think that the promotion & tv channel side of it makes it so much more difficult to 'make' a fight like that. I also think you make a great point on fury and burns which is when you think about it is absolutely incredible , I saw the Mitchell/burns fight but the lack of publicity for a fight like that is both staggering and even a little bit upsetting.

I think bellew will continue to do it the 'hardway' but for me cleverly doesn't seem to have progressed after the fight which for me was a lot closer than the scorecards. If tony can get his own title then the rematch may have to happen but I think there will be a few twists and turns over the next 18 months .
