Whoa. Hibbo is a decent right back on defense at least. He will get out-muscled in the middle and Duffy has been wonderful, so he shouldn't do that.

Overall Hibbo is not a decent right back and never has been..............not sure about all these play the youngsters comments cos this seasons a write off either, nothing against playing the youngsters but we do need to reach a certain amount of points before the season reaches 'nothing' status...............depressing

Spot on. the season can't be a write off until we are free of relegation worries.

wheres that stuff, havent seen any blatant accusations myself

It's a bit tongue in cheek, but his handling of Yakubu, Beckford, Ba, Drenthe, Barkley and Vellios could have been so much better and it's a mystery to most people why he perseveres with 4-4-1-1, Saha and using as any defenders as he can. If he was trying to deliberately sabotage us, he'll probably do pretty much the same as he's currently doing.

Duffy is starting tonight apparently. I'd like to see Hibbo go to right back though, and Neville dropped

hibbo did damn well when he played centreback.

I really love this forum. 5 pages, yes, 5 pages about a suggestion, hint, about one position. Thank god he's ultra cautious in giving out any news or this forum would go into meltdown.

Anyway, I've always said that one of my criticism of Hibbert is that when he loses concentration he tends to drift into a CB position, so when he did play CB and did well, I didn't expect any different. I'm not saying he's a better CB than RB, I'm just saying its a role he can play - but I'd prefer Duffy anyway.

And once again, thank God for Alan Irving for at last sending out the brightest on loan rather than just sticking them on the Everton bench with no real prospect of playing. If we had the player option, i'd send Anichebe on a season long loan to a championship side, but that's another debate for another time.
