"The People's Club".

FFS, that embarrassing small time description still being flogged to death.

DBB talking about 'the new stadium' and pointing out the window...to nothing.

Everton FC: still peddling fantasies.
I’m not going to watch this because I find pretty much any tv about a football club cringeworthy unless they’re actually playing football but ‘The People’s Club’ monicker should be about celebrating the incredible work EITC do and surely everyone can get behind that?

It was a Moyes remark that's been used by the club as a means of excusing lack of success. A consolation pat on the head. IIRC they were starting to quietly drop it a few seasons back but now it's front and centre again, no doubt to paper over the continued lack of success.

See GOT is all happiness and positivity today.

We're great us blues, aren't we? A real bastion of camaraderie and togetherness. Nice to know we all have time and respect for one another, regardless of background or opinion!
I thought Cademarteri was smashing little player for us actually.
Another who had no luck with injuries. Should never have shaved the dreads though.

Texted my Dad to say that since it's the BBC I bet they mention LFC within five minutes.

Turns out that was hugely generous. The first line was 'Today we're in Merseyside, home of two clubs: Liverpool FC, league leaders and title contenders (include clip of an LFC goal).... and Everton. And it's the blue half we're focusing on today.'

Why mention LFC at all? lol
