Right now short term it's what he needs.

If his superiority in the air and finding the net helps with the little push needed to make European football, the long term hit financially will be offset to a degree.

Our business left to the last minute is always a gamble on luck rather than better judgement when funds are available.

A. We won't be signing him on a one-year contract, soon if he's only a short-term solution, it's likely to be a colossal waste of money in the longer term.
B. Whose place does he take in the team? Gana? Garner? KDH? We're a worse side if he replaces any of those.
