ANYWAY, everyone knows it was ronnie Barker & Martin Dobson that invented them, dobbo boiled 'em up and Barker sold them in his shop, he picked him cos he was open all hours, he kept them on the shelf next to the fork handles.

Yes that was her shop on Browside, opposite Prince Rupert's Tower - there's a lovely story behind the Toffee, and unfortunately some 'myths' around it too. One of these days I'll write a proper article for the main site, hopefully people want to read about it.
