Need help.

Does anyone have a good picture of the toffee lady because I'm getting a tattoo of her and need a good sized pic.

What time do they throw the toffees into the crowd? And is it just the main stand they do, or do they go round the Gwladys St?

I just don't recall seeing a toffee lady recently at all. I believe ya though Reidy lolol :)

I had one done years ago but i got the image from the Liverpool Echo office so contact them and they might be able to help you

Walk around the pitch about 45 mins before k.o. the only one in the mainstand to get 1 was Ricky Tomlinson and that's cos the bloke with us was trying to rattle him with the mints.
Then wait on the pitch in front of the tunnel as the team come out, and go in the centre circle for pics and usually a kiss of Cahill.
Parents get to wait on the pitch as they come out as well !!! I have to go around giving the mints with her as well as I'm her grown up helper.

Nice one Reidy. That also explains it, as these days I very rarely get to the ground before 2.15, but when I was a kid I remember a toffee lady every time as I used to get there earlier to watch the players warm up and the ground fill up, read the programme etc.

There are a few images around. They are all supposed to reflect the original Toffee Lady, Molly Bushell, in her traditional dress and bonnet from that period. If I recall correctly, the Echo had at least two images commissioned, and one of them is supposed to be printed somewhere in the football Echo, depending on whether we have won or lost. Not sure what happens when we draw though. You'd be better going for the one of her dancing a jig when we win :)

Molly Bushell was my Great Great Great Great Great Grandmother - we have a fairly detailed family history including a few images, sadly, she died just in 1818, shortly before the world's first photograph was taken (~1826) - so we don't really know what she looked like, although there are a few likenesses around. We have recently uncovered some photographs of James Bushell, her grandson, who moved to Parkgate on the Wirral (where our line of Bushell's have been ever since), the family resemblance to the existing Bushells is startling.

I think this is the Echo image of her doing her jig:
