Thing is, if he did touch it, that would mean he wasn’t offside, because the defender played the ball.
No he was in an offside position when DCL had his shot that was the initial forward motion of the ball not the deflection. Btw the goal should of stood absolutely it should of, their may of been an argument if it touched Siggurdson but never.

This happens several times, the defender plays the ball because the striker is onside, therefore the striker is no longer offside. Same principle here, as soon as maguire blocks it, siggy is no longer offside.

Either way it’s a ‘kin farce it should of stood. The timing of the decision (injury time) and who we were playing without doubt influenced the decision 100%

Are there any stats anywhere to show how VAR for and against has affected PL clubs

The site I looked at but it was an article regarding VAR overturns club by club and then a further breakdown looking at how many of those were straight yes/no decisions and how many were subjective decisions.


Some clubs look to be getting the rub of the green more than others, hello Man Utd, but it doesn't paint a picture of explicit bias towards the Sky 6 or however else people wish to define the elite clubs.

This 100%. Its not offisde after Maguire touches it.
