only the woman should shave body hair, man stays hairy:
a) I'm female, and I think it's gross if a woman has long leg hair or hair under their arms.
b) Even though Saffa shaves his facial hair, I prefer hairy chest and legs and all that. I just think it looks more manly.
 
It's all down to the individual. Anyone who ridicules someone, whether that be male or female, for the amount of hair on their body is a grade A moron. I feel as a gorilla of a man I'd be a bit of a hypocrite if I wasn't sound with a bird not being arsed with shaving herself like, it's only hair anyway! Both genders have loads of it on their bonces.

Nice to have a woman's perspective.

The Guardian article was mainly about 'down there', discussing how women feel pressure to bald-shave to keep up with modern trends (trends normally shaped by men).

The hygiene perspective is also interesting. Hair on the non-enclosed parts like legs, head, chest are fine. But the enclosed parts like underarms and the private area is where the big debate is. Don't know if I should go into gory detail on a family forum, haha.


Agree with what you say, it's all down to the individual's freedom of choice. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer.
 
I know you get a lot more ladies in Germany doing the whole armpit hair thing but it isnt a good look IMO.

Used to live in Gutersloh and drink in a pub called The Blue Fox and mix with the German lads and lasses. There was this one gorgeous lady, Connie, but underneath her arms she hid Leo Sayers head. Found it totally offputting and the more i tried not to look at it i did.

And she smelt a bit minty too.
 

Girls should be shaven all over. ALL over. I'm not bothered about the ones who are ugly they can do what they want but the nice looking young girls of today must be shaven if I'm to go anywhere near them.

I concur that hairy people (whether men or women) tend to smell a bit more minty when the enclosed areas resemble Fellaini's head. A lot of women like that scent on a man, but most men don't like it on a woman.

But German women often having hairy armpits? That's a myth in my experience, as pretty much every woman I've seen the underarm of here has been shaved.

As ever, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The poll tho' seems strongly in favour of women shaving.

I almost spew if I see a chick with hairy underarms and I once turned an 8 down because she had a hairy box
