To Rest, or Not To Rest?

Okay guys, I can remember the amount of posts when we rested players against Liverpool in the derby. I suppose a lot of people were dissapointed because how much the derby means to Everton fans.

However against Swansea, should we rest players again?

And if we do loose against Swansea, will there be more anger about the resting of players in the Premiere League? Or would fans be more understanding today?

If it was Swansea in the first place we would've been more forgiving, but not anymore imo

People need to stop putting all their emphasis on the cup, they are more than likely going to be very disappointed.

Every place we drop in the premier league costs the club about Â£900k. That says it all.

Yep. Which will end up being covered by the players we sell.

Don't think moyes can win unless we play a weakened team and win the match.

If we play our full squad then why rest against Liverpool but not Swansea.

Play a weakened team and lose - why didn't he learn his lesson etc

You have a point there, but since he already lost the advantage and we are now underdogs in getting through, he should excercise damage control. And has Heitinga showed fatigue? Why is Neville playing? If you are gonna play a weakened team, atleast get some benefit out of it. Play the talented kids. Play Junior. Play whoever ffs, but not Phil Neville.

Go out and blood kids if you're gonna rest players, give them a chance to prove themselves. If you lose, at least you've got the excuse.

But no, he'll just play anti-football players.

For me he should be resting players for the cup. We have nothing to show for his ten years in charge which is a shame when you consider everything he has done with our team. Cup is the priority, interesting for me because it has always been the league which has been seen as most important.

I honestly think Moyes is off this year. For me it is a shame for others it is a blessing...
