The initial clap was really good, a heartfelt gesture, and for me anyway, fellowship and support from neighbours as we waved over to each other. They were genuinely frightening times and I took heart from them.

Then Johnson and the Tories hijacked it and all the good stuff we felt became political.

Trying to resurrect it now is solely an attempt at deflection of the mess they have made of it all.
