Tipping ?

I know it's been said before by me and others, but if you come to the US on holiday, please understand it's different here and you are expected to tip servers, bartenders, cab drivers, bell boys, curbside baggage handlers at the airport, and the lids who park your car at the valet.

When we were on holiday in Las Vagas someone was telling us that the Bell boys and the concierge etc had to actually pay the hotels to work there because they made so much in tips. Not sure if that would be true or not what do you think?

Local doctors surgery have a box on reception asking for donation for a doctor who is retiring, and he is on something like £180,000 p a ( retirement gift)
