By one of the more popular/respected American Football writers...his monday column is usually worth a read and this time it has tons on our tim!

Tim is such class. I love the guy, always says the right thing & genuinely seems to care about the club, sport, & people in general. And his tough as nails mentality is priceless & imo very much reflective of the our team's nature & attitude. Not having a go at England or any other country, just proud of the way we go about our business. We may not have the best players in the world, but our guys fight so hard & always have each others' back. And, more often than not, they try to handle the media w/ class.

*disclaimer-easy to say this knowing the english media are ridiculous & likely give players no choice but to treat them accordingly*

Peter King is class, in order to take the sport to next level we need guys like this to actually sincerely BELIEVE in the sport. Then we need their employers (media outlets) to embrace it. Love his attempt to compare intensity at WC to Super Bowl.

"5. I think the best thing I can tell you about the Worl Cup, compared to American sports, is that it's about three times as intense as the Super Bowl. I was sittin in this mid-sized stadium (no press box, just a row near the top of the lower level, covered, outside) about 15 minutes before the game, with no teams o the field, no immediate promise of players coming o of the tunnel to take the field, and the vuvuzelas wer trumpeting at maybe 90 decibels by themselves, and the fans were screaming and chanting to add maybe 20 more decibels, and I'm thinking, "There's no one i sight, and the anticipation is so ridiculous that these people are screaming themselves silly.'' It's no knock on the NFL. I love big games in the NFL. But this -- w games in 20 or so town squares on huge screens EVERY day of the World Cup, and the nation taking th month off to watch them (not in person, maybe, but on these screens or o...."
