Well put mate. To my embarrassment i havent yet heard the endless river,(and i call myself a floyd fan!) ive been told its basically made up of what wasnt put on the division bell. Gonna have to pick it up and have a listen.
You know what mate,my mate downloaded it and said he thought it was **** but I was waiting for it for crimbo from one of my lads,I love it,I put it on when I just want some background sound on while I'm reading and it's fantastic in that mood, don't expect to sing along as there's only the last song on the album which has lyrics but you know what it's very very relaxing and well worth adding to your collection ;)

One of the greatest songs ever written was by a Mr Tim Buckley

Although there is a much better version...

very much ignored or overshadowed by his son, erstwhile partner once of Liz Fraser, she who sings above

If you are a fan of either Liz Fraser or Jeff Buckley, here is a very interesting blog article about their powerfull relationship and his trajic death : http://secretsun.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/songs-of-siren-on-river-styx.html

Perhaps it belongs in the conspiricy thread, but as i say if you are a fan then it's a fascinating read.

Thanks for that. Fascinating but ultimately riddled with inaccuracies and just opinion.

May belong in the other thread though the synchronisities are stretched. Do like the thinking of Frasers voice being pagan and primeval, always thought that, and he is a bit unkind to her.

I met her around 91/2 at a Roddy Frame gig in Hardman house, Jayne Casey introduced us, and we chatted for ages, she had just become a mother and was riddled with pride at the mention, Robin just got pissed all night.

Her voice was soft and whispery in talking over live music and she was funny and very polite, a genuinely lovely person, small and petite which made you wonder where the voice actually came from.

Thanks again, interesting read for the wee small hours with the little sleepless one ;)
