That's his career done I would guess. He really should hire someone to drive him around as it doesn't look like he can without crashing or getting stopped by the police.

That said I hope he pulls through to live a normal life without any really debilitating injuries.

I think he said he was touch and go anyway for the masters as he was still recovering from his back op. Listening to him at the Genesis Open at the weekend and all he had been allowed to do so far since the op was putting practice

Two leg fractures and a shattered ankle according to reports. He'll be lucky to come back from that after all the injuries he's already had. Can't imagine his healing back will have come out of it in a particularly good state either. I imagine he will just be happy to be alive as it was some wreck.

Comminuted open fractures too. Almost as worrying is that they felt the need to do a fasciotomy, which implies they had significant concerns about the blood supply to the leg being compromised.

I worked in foot and ankle surgery for several years. The biggest concern is the ankle, rather than the leg (aside from the infection control issues with open fractures)...

I’d be astonished if he’s able to play again at a “proper” level. Even if everything healed PERFECTLY, the rehab time at his age would probably preclude it
