Ticket Scheme Launched – News Archive – News – evertonfc.com – The Official Website of Everton Football Club

Everton will be launching a new ticket points system ahead of the start of season 2009/10 in an attempt to remove the issues previously experienced with supporters’ ticket purchase history.
The FA Cup semi-final and more recently the final itself has highlighted the requirement to have a more structured process in order to allocate much sought-after tickets based on loyalty.
Following discussions with supporter groups and internal consultation the new scheme – which will operate in tandem with the European Travel Club - will allocate points based on purchases within a single season with the simple idea being that tickets will be allocated based on points as opposed to games.
The number of points awarded will vary, depending upon the product purchased but Season Tickets will earn the most number of points – 200 for each individual Season Ticket holder in 2009/10.
Home match ticket purchases will range from 5 points to 25 points, and will be determined on a game by game basis, depending upon a number of factors including relative attractiveness of the opposition, the stage of competition, the date and kick off of the fixture, and whether the game is live on television. An Evertonia membership purchase will earn 10 points.

Chief Executive Robert Elstone said: “This new scheme we believe is as transparent as we can be. We all know that throughout a season demand will be high for certain matches and by allocating specific points it will allow us to reward those supporters with the most loyalty.

“Our Season Ticket numbers to-date already suggests there is a real appetite to come to watch Everton and we are anticipating increased demand for a number of matches in the coming season.
He added: “I do hope the scheme demonstrates that we do listen to our supporters and try to make the necessary improvements needed in order for there to be an open and honest way of conducting our business.
“We listened to fans’ frustrations on a number of occasions last term and the ticket loyalty points is just one way we have decided to address those frustrations.”
Supporters must note they will not earn points for multiple purchases. Points will be allocated per product against a single customer number (I.e. If a supporter buys three season tickets 200 points will be allocated to each customer number and not to an individual).
Supporters will be able to view their points history online via eTicketing and points are allocated automatically when a ticket/membership is purchased. Points will be announced once each individual game is on sale.
Everton do reserve the right to change the number of points awarded to any product at any time.
*European away match tickets are not covered by this scheme. These tickets are only available if supporters are members of the European Travel Club.

so is it possible for a person who joins evertonia and goes to homes to get more points than a s.t. holder who goes to homes, certainly more if he goes away and the s.t. holder doesnt.

So will you get more points for Man U in the FA cup quarters on a Saturday on tv or Stoke in the league on a Wednesday?

Just seems like its gonna be too complicated and end up peeing some fans off cause they think they deserve more points than someone else.
